The same old "Mac vs. PC" question …?

I am waiting for substantive responses. Some of my friends swear by the Mac, but I was a kind of life all PCs (even back to the Radio Shack TRS-80 and the basic programming language, LOL). I try to keep an open mind On this occasion, and I am ready to part with a lot of money for something solid. I'm not a fan of simple one-button Mac mouse, and I do 'm not crazy about learning a new interface (although Vista now makes inevitable, hence my willingness to change if necessary). Mac will also offer a 10-key attached, which I prefer. Less problems with viruses is a great advantage. I travel abroad frequently and prefer something that is very good with a Webcam for videoconferencing. My Dell-three years (low-cost/obsolete when he bought $ 400) does Graphics not later (even medium term) games now. I am willing to spend up to $ 2,500 if there is something that can really inspire confidence. I'm looking VoodooPC, Alienware, HP, Sony, Dell and Toshiba … Any Mac or an intelligent input is welcome. Thank you!

You answered your question in the PC vs. Mac If you're comfortable and do not want to face a learning curve, then stay with the PC and Windows. No matter how easy its supposed to be, will be frustrated for some time with a Mac. The things are different and when you want to go for the C: drive, do not find it. Experienced PC users stick with the Windows world, because it works for them, they feel comfortable with it, and how to avoid problems. Go to the Mac, which are re-learn to use a new laptop. Mac has about 2.8% – 3% market so that the virus does not write for such a small population. Also, if you travel abroad, Europe is not very important in the Mac, which would have compatibility issues. $ 2,500 gives you a lot of laptop! From my personal experience: Alienware (now Dell) is involved, but many power. HP: Nice machine, but with pieces of property. Dell: Latitude Stick with the machines. You can still get XP instead of being forced to Vista. Sony: garbage Toshiba never a problem with one of their machines, but never considered upscale. Most manufacturers use even if not the mother herself, with the same chipset, video, audio, etc. You are buying their plastic housing and support.
