A capacitor with a full voltage of 120 kV is discharged through resistance. A) What is the voltage across the capacitor at the end of four time constants? b) At this point, what is the tension in the resistance? Again, four of us and we can not find a way to lo … and we started from A and B in the exam! Please help!

Constant time is the time required to discharge the capacitor to a value of 1 / e of its initial charge, where e is a constant (the natural resource base or logarithms natural and numerically, and is irrational, the equivalent of about 2.718281828459.) The voltage across the capacitor is directly proportional to the charge on the capacitor, and continuing after 4 times reduced to 1 / e ** 4 fully charged value of 120 kV. If E is equal to 2.718281828 …, e to the power equal to 54.598 quarts (up to 5 significant figures), so that the voltage across the capacitor after one time constant is equal 4 divided by 54,598,120,000 volts, or 2197.8 volts. If the resistance is directly connected through the condenser, the capacitor voltage and resistance are the same at all times. I hope that answers both parts of your question.
